being our true selves

The sun had just arisen and was warming up our skin softly.

Our first thoughts were about awakening.

We exchange about how there comes a time in life when you feel the urge to stop and reflect.

And the image you had of your own self start to become blurry.

You have this need to make time to explore, to experiment with who you are and how you show up to the world.
You gradually become tired of meeting other people's expectations of how you should or should not be.

Laurence. Martinique, September 2016. A need for change.

Slowly, you learn to accept life's imperfections as much as your own.

And you begin to stop holding on what no longer serves.
And you make space for a more authentic version of yourself.

Laurence. Martinique, September 2016. Becoming self.
